More Than a Story: The Parables of Jesus

Jesus often taught through stories.

They were simple enough to remember, but deep enough to wrestle with. Stories about a friend knocking on a door at midnight. A wealthy man building bigger barns. A son coming home. A rich man who ignored the suffering right in front of him. A religious leader and a tax collector standing before God.

But Jesus wasn’t simply trying to tell a good story. His parables revealed the heart of God, challenged the assumptions of His listeners, and exposed what was happening beneath the surface of their lives.

In More Than a Story, we’ll take a fresh look at some of the stories Jesus told and discover what He was really trying to show us.
